Passport Renewal & Extention
Please note that there is only one application used for registration with the Consulate & Renewal or Extention of passport. Pease note that you need to register with The Consulate before renewing or extending your passport. You can send for registration (please refer to registration within this site) & Renewal or Extention of passport at the same time.
To renew or extend your passport you need the following:
- 4 passport pictures.
- Your Consular Card. If you are not yet registered with the Consulate, please refer to Consular registration within this site to do so.
- Original and Copy of your passport (keep copies of all visas you might need).
- Copy of Your National Identity Card (Carte d'Identite Nationale).
- A copy of residence permit, Green Card, or any equivalent.
- Employment verification from your employer or proof of self employment.
- Please download to your Microsoft the attached "Passport Form" fill it,(Would you please type) print 2 copies and attach 1 passport size recent photo to each (Would you please write your full name & your Carte Nationale # on the back of the pictures).
- A money order of $100 For passport renewal or extention. If you are not registred with the Consulate, please do by going to Consular registration: The fee is $10 (Please write your name & address on the money order).
- If you do not have the Green Card or US passport you need to send the Original of the I-94 (The white paper the Immigration gave you in your passport at the entry of the USA) Please note that it will be sent back to you but your passport can not be extended or renewed without it. If your I-94 has been submitted to the Immigration Services, please send a copy of the receipt or appointment.
Very important, Please read carefully:
- Please note that NO PERSONAL CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED as a form of payment.
- Please note that the passport renewal & extension time process is 10 business days. The period may be shorter or longer depending on the amount of files received. Please call us only if you do not receive your passport within 10 business days at: 212-758-2625.
- Please specify if you wish an EXTENTION (to keep the same passport), or a RENEWAL of your passport (to obtain a new passport). Make sure to keep a copy of the old passport. For safety reasons, do not send your passport via regular mail. Use express mail.
- Fees for returning your passport are not included in the fees above. To ensure the reception of your passport, please include a prepaid express mail envelope obtained from the post office. Please note that this is the only mailing method accepted. Thank you.
